Middle School Retreat
October 12 - 14, 2024
There are only 60 spots available for camp. Camp forms and scholarship applications must be completed and submitted by parent as soon as possible to secure a spot. Registration will close on Monday 10/07/24 at 11:59 pm. (Links found below.)
Here are things you must know:
• The camp is 6th-8th grade.
• Camp payment must be paid via link below.
• Scholarship Applications (YFC or Angel Tree) can help offset the cost of camp (applications links found below).
• Total Cost is $315 (Everyone can apply for scholarships however, a $96 out-of-pocket deposit is paid by all)
• Deposits and 3 Community Service hours are still required if applying for scholarships.
• Packing list found below.

Packing List
Great freedom is allowed in dress at camp. Most of your modest clothing worn at home will be allowed. No expensive outfits, please. Anything beyond that and you will be overdressed. You will want a set of old clothes for messy games.
*Clothing: Shorts must be at least fingertip length. Clothing that is revealing, suggestive, or advertises alcohol or tobacco is prohibited. Girls’ swimsuits must be modest. Two-piece bikini style is not allowed (midriff must be covered) or a colored t-shirt must be worn in the pool. Boys’ swimwear must be trunk-type. Lifeguards may eject anyone wearing inappropriate swimwear.
Here is a checklist of basic essentials you will need while at camp:
• 2 Towels
• Bedding (sheets. pillow, blankets or sleeping bag)
• Bible
• Backpack or fanny pack
• Hat
• Sunglasses
• Water bottle
• Toiletries ( deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, toothpaste and brush, shaving
cream, razor, etc.)
• A Swimming Towel and washcloths (2-3)
• Shower shoes or flip flops
• 1 pair of tennis shoes – at least one older well- worn pair for dirty games.
• Poncho or good raincoat
• 4=pairs of socks
• 4= pairs of underwear
• 4= pairs of shorts
• 4= t-shirts
• sweat pants
• sweatshirts or jacket
• Flashlight (batteries for flashlight)
• Laundry bag
• Sunscreen, repellents and other needed medications

Departure:
Bus 1
Departing Kinected Coworking office at 10401 W IH-10, San Antonio, TX 78230 on Saturday October 12, 2024. Camper must arrive at 12:30 pm with parent or guardian for camp check-in.
Bus 2
Departing from the City Life center at 1301 Colima st., San Antonio, TX 78207 on Saturday October 12, 2024. Camper must arrive at 12:30 pm with parent or guardian for camp check-in.
Returning:
Buses depart from Camp Zephyr on October 14, 2024 at 11:40am and are expected to return at 3:15pm - 3:30pm
*Note: Students should be advised to eat before arriving to the bus departure sites, as there will not be food available until they reach the campsite at 6pm.
