Kate's Story

Kate was a Campus Life student who spent years searching for peace in all the wrong places—struggling with substance abuse and feeling like she had no reason to live. At a South Texas Youth for Christ retreat, she encountered the love of Jesus in a powerful way, describing the moment someone prayed for her as “supernatural” and feeling a weight lift from her soul. After accepting Christ, Kate found the lasting peace she had been searching for her whole life.

Greg is a student in the Parent Life program, where he's learning both parenting skills and the truth about God's love. Growing up without a father figure, he once doubted his ability to be a good dad—but now he knows that, despite his past, he can be a present and loving father to his son. He also understands that no matter his background, he has a loving Heavenly Father who guides and supports him.

Saphire came to Campus Life still uncertain about her beliefs, but she found a space where she felt accepted just as she was. Even in the middle of a difficult home life, Campus Life became a space where she felt safe to open up, be heard, and begin exploring what faith could mean for her.
